First Wednesday Reader Series presents two poets: Youngstown native Cherise Benton of Cleveland, and Paula J. Lambert of Columbus. Sarah Lowry will co-host. Open mic to follow. Wednesday, February 5, at 7:00pm at Westside Bowl, 2617 Mahoning Ave. This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs.
Cherise Benton is a literary artist and aspiring hermit from Youngstown, Ohio. She is quite fond of Lake Erie, photosynthesis, planetarium shows, and homeric epithets.
Paula J. Lambert of Columbus, Ohio, has published several collections of poetry including As If This Did Not Happen Every Day (Sheila-Na-Gig 2024). Her work has been supported by the Ohio Arts Council, the Greater Columbus Arts Council, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. More at www.paulajlambert.com.
