Formed in 2001 when EARTH CRISIS temporarily concluded, FREYA has blazed a path through the worldwide hardcore and metal scenes for over two decades. Now, in 2025, vocalist Karl Buechner leads FREYA into a new era of metallic hardcore, bringing their crushing sound to Europe and North America on tour.

With a legacy spanning 20 years, FREYA has been featured on MTV’s Room Raiders, Road Rules, Headbangers Ball, and the Showtime series Shameless. Their distinctive blend of darkened New York-style hardcore and thrash metal has earned them recognition in Kerrang!, Decibel, Amp, and Metal Hammer.

Fresh off their 2023 full-length album “FIGHT AS ONE”, FREYA is back in the studio crafting a powerful follow-up. “FIGHT AS ONE” saw them return to their hardcore roots and featured legendary guest appearances from Freddie Cricien (Madball), Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed), and Scott Vogel (Terror). Over the years, FREYA has shared the stage with Walls of Jericho, All Shall Perish, Born From Pain, Sworn Enemy, Andrew WK, Napalm Death, DRI, Behemoth, Crowbar, Ringworm, and Hatebreed.

Their latest single, “Bloodthirst”, dropped in late 2023 via Upstate Records—a relentless anthem proving that FREYA is as fierce as ever.
