On Tuesday, May 27, Westside Bowl hosts a night of sharp hooks, heavy grooves, and tightly wound performances. Memphis-based Joybomb brings their high-tempo, emotionally charged alt-rock to the stage, joined by local acts Potentia and Skeleton Drive.
Joybomb (Memphis, TN) blends melodic sensibility with post-hardcore grit. Their latest release, Modern Scripture, explores themes of autonomy, disillusionment, and identity. Fast-paced and purposeful, their live sets are as intentional as they are loud.
Potentia is a Youngstown-based band carving out space between heavy rhythm and melodic exploration. Their sound is raw but deliberate—anchored in the present but always pushing forward.
Skeleton Drive is the solo project of Dillon Ray Oliver, based in Kent, Ohio. With a focus on layered textures and introspective lyrics, Skeleton Drive offers a different kind of intensity—quiet, deliberate, and immersive.
