Misty Blues
On Monday, June 29, Misty Blues brings more than two decades of blues to Westside Bowl. Fronted by founder and vocalist Gina Coleman, the Massachusetts-based group has spent years building a catalog that moves between original material and traditional blues while weaving in touches of soul, jazz, funk, and gospel.
About the Artist
Misty Blues was a finalist in the 2019 International Blues Challenge and has been performing since 1999. The band has recorded with artists including Eric Gales, Charles Neville, and Joe Louis Walker, while sharing stages with names across contemporary blues.
The project began after founder Gina Coleman was encouraged to pursue blues following a performance in a Williamstown Theatre Festival production of A Raisin in the Sun. Since then, Misty Blues has released seventeen albums, toured throughout the United States, Canada, and the UK, and earned international radio play.
