Paul Skowron Nosiy Mama

Paul joined White Noise in 1983 where his musical journey took off. In the 1980’s the place to be was a White Noise concert. White Noise became a regular sold out event wherever the band booked a show. The band ultimately signed a record deal in 1990 with ATCO Records as Noisy Mama. Everybody Has One was released in 1991. Paul toured throughout the country. The band’s video for the song “Heart Of Stone” was featured on MTV Headbangers Ball. The band received great reviews. The critics loved the band after seeing them perform live. Noisy Mama would end with the onslaught of grunge. “We started writing some of the best stuff we’ve ever done however all good things come to an end.

Fast forward to 2017..

Ok listen up! Here is the “Skowron’s Noisy Mama” story!
I got the call from Scott Bender (bass player) with Baton Rouge band. “Hey Moose can you fill in for our singer at the M3 festival “thee greatest festival of 80s and 90s rock bands“ of course I said yes. I had one month to learn a half hour, set of Baton Rouge music, and that open my eyes to the fact that even though I hadn’t performed for a very long time, I was still ready, willing and able to rock!

That experience and playing with pro musicians in front of 18,000 people got me thinking. So I set out to start performing the songs that I co-wrote with White Noise and Noisy Mama that spanned from 1982 to 1991. As great bands go it took some time to find the right players. I called upon original members, Carlo Infante (White Noise /Noisy Mama and Tommy Rich (Noisy Mama) to come along and I was happy when they accepted! Finding the right guitar players was quite a journey, but it was a friend who I hadn’t seen in years Billy Morris, who I called upon. He was in the band Warrant and Kid Wicked and many more. He committed and he told me about his young protégé Dougie Manross who played with Ripper Owens. I asked and he accepted and so the journey began! To sum it up it’s not really about any of us it’s about great songs that need to be heard. HERE WE GO!!!!!!
