The Polkamaniacs are a true Pittsburgh original, blending classic polka with roots rock, Americana, flashes of punk energy, and a heavy dose of humor. Known for their high-spirited, audience-friendly performances, they balance traditional polka with original songs that lean hard into Pittsburgh culture and crowd participation.

An eight-piece, self-described “Plaidtastic” combo, The Polkamaniacs feature accordion, guitars, banjo, trumpet, bass, trombone, and drums—creating a full, lively sound that’s equal parts danceable and entertaining. Family-friendly and festival-tested, they’ve spent the past several years performing throughout the region and sharing stages with national acts like The Red Elvises and Southern Culture on the Skids.
